In its latest attack on southern Lebanon, Israel used illegal white phosphorus on its targets, new video evidence appears to show – see for yourself.
Those familiar with what white phosphorus explosions look like will immediately notice from the above footage that Israel clearly used something out of the ordinary in its attacks on southern Lebanon that point to possible war crimes as stipulated in the Geneva Conventions.
“White phosphorus is an incendiary chemical that ignites when in contact with air and can cause severe burns in people or structures it comes into contact with,” reports Middle East Eye. ” Inhalation of white phosphorus fumes can cause respiratory injuries and asphyxiation, and the chemical can inflict second- and third-degree burns to the skin.”
“The use of airburst white phosphorus in areas with a dense civilian population is prohibited under international law, as the weapon inflicts indiscriminate harm on civilians.”
(Related: Israel also used illegal white phosphorus in its attacks on Gaza and Lebanon immediately following the October 7 event.)
The last known time that Israel dropped illegal white phosphorus on its targets in the Middle East was back in June, according to Human Rights Watch (HRW). It turns out that Israel’s weapon of choice against Lebanon is white phosphorus, a substance that is prohibited under international law.
“Israel’s widespread use of white phosphorus in south Lebanon highlights the need for stronger international law on incendiary weapons,” an HRW report reads.
Ever since the October 7 attack, Israel has ramped up its use of illegal weapons. Israel seems to fear nothing and nobody as it turns the world against itself by flagrantly committing war crimes and other acts that many believe constitute genocide.
Repeated attempts by the United Nations (UN) and the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to rein Israel in from all the bloodlust that emerged after October 7 have proven futile. Israel under Benjamin Netanyahu is going to do whatever Israel wants to do – and nobody is going to stop them (or so Netanyahu thinks).
It is one thing to defend oneself and it is entirely another to repeatedly target large numbers of innocents who, at best, are Israel’s collateral damage in its fight against Hamas, Hezbollah and the many other political sects throughout the Middle East that have beef with Israel.
Biblical mandate or not, Israel’s continued actions will come with consequences. This is the very point of the Time of Jacob’s Trouble, also known as the Great Tribulation. It will be the time of Israel’s judgment, simply put.
For now, Israel will continue to try to expand its borders to the Old Testament boundaries, no matter the death toll. And its enemies, increasingly, will do whatever they can to try to stop Israel, just as they have been doing ever since Israel was reestablished back in the 1940s.
“We are quite ready if the Israelis want a ground incursion,” said Sheikh Naim Qassem, Hezbollah’s deputy leader. “The resistance forces are ready for that.”
“The time for WWIII has come,’ one commenter wrote, suggesting that World War III is now at the door.
“As I’ve learned over the past 11-plus months, nothing the settler-colonial entity does is truly ‘targeted,'” wrote another, rejecting Israel’s claims that it keeps collateral damage to a minimum by using advanced “precision” in its attacks.
“It often results in the deaths of many innocent civilians.”
